1pp1 present their first poetry collection in an encounter of words, sound and space. Texts are read, songs are sung, synthesizers make sound — accompanied by the vibrations of a harp made of piano wire and washing line, stretched across the wooden structure of the Harbour Stage. The stage becomes a body of sound, the space is transformed into a resonance field. Voices and sounds interweave, simple materials become music, words become movement. An installation that changes and in which new connections are created. 1pp1 and the book follow the principle of the inner and outer onion, the group is a membrane that opens up to the outside. In our radical search for form, we are also working on new performance formats for these texts. Authors do not float in a vacuum. People are made up of other people, and so are texts. The Federal Agency for Poetic Education is a supreme art authority operating under the Ministry for World Improvement, headquartered in Lärz. It was founded in 1997 as the Federal Agency for Lyrical Love. Under the motto “Poetry Instead of Police,” it inspired a poetic movement during the G8 summit in Rostock-Heiligendamm in 2007, which was joined by 80,000 poets worldwide. The movement reached its peak a year later when a group of poets occupied the parliament in El Salvador and demanded the transformation of all prisons into libraries. In the subsequent session of the UN Security Council, the permanent members threatened sanctions. Under increasing pressure from security agencies, the organization was renamed the Federal Agency for Poetic Education in 2009. For the opening reading of the Schuhkarton 2025, several all-stars of the movement will come together: Mili Dance (Waving the Guns), Franziska Winkler (LPG Handverlesen), Maia Avruj (Brigada Sholem Alejém), and Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg (Highdelberger Durakisten). The Retzow-Rechlin Concentration Camp Memorial is located in the immediate vicinity of the Airfield Lärz. During World War II, a satellite camp of the Ravensbrück concentration camp was located there. To extend the concrete runways at Lärz Airfield, part of which is part of the festival grounds, concentration camp inmates, as well as prisoners of war and forced laborers, had to carry out extensive earthworks, transport construction materials, and repair bomb damage. Many did not survive the deadly conditions created by the SS. On May 2, 1945, the camp was liberated by the Red Army. A memorial site has existed there since 1980. After an introduction to the topic, we will visit the Retzow-Rechlin Concentration Camp Memorial, which is within easy walking distance of the Oasis. During the tour, we will explore the various groups who were subjected to forced labor and hear accounts from concentration camp survivors.

Good Sad Happy Bad is a band composed of CJ Calderwood, Marc Pell, Mica Levi, and Raisa Khan. Die Songs wechseln zwischen melodiös und rauh, zwischen Vocals die mal eher gesprochen und dann wieder geschrien werden. Es nur als brachial zu bezeichnen wäre jedoch zu einfach. Die genannten Wechsel scheinen fein abgestimmt und die Vocals klingen achtsam und durchdacht. Hyphen bringt Effekte und eine ganz eigene verträumte Ästhetik in ihre Musik, die jenseits jeder Bewertung und Einordnung in Genres überzeugt.

Homophobia and antifeminism have long been an ideological staple of fascists of various stripes. This has been evident for many years, for example, in the election of Bolsonaro and Trump, but also at 1000 Crosses marches in various cities, as well as the right-wing demonstrations in 2024 against the Pride parades in Bautzen and Leipzig. The visibility of queer life and reproductive self-determination contradict the fascist notion of a binary gender order and the ascribed role of women as breeding machines for the "fatherland." However, fascists tap into an antifeminism that is widespread throughout society. The nationally enforced community and the patriarchal-binary gender order serve as supposedly simple solutions to capitalist distortions and are finding increasing resonance with people. As a way out of everyday excessive demands and social coldness, sexist longings for traditional family relationships are fueled. In fascist ideology, this is combined with a racism that imagines migrants as a threat to women. This authoritarian backlash must be countered. Precisely because misogyny, homophobia, and antifeminism have always been central elements of fascism, feminists and antifascists must work together here.

In our workshop, we want to explore together whether the rent control (Mietpreisbremse) is an option for you and whether you can reduce your rent. Rents in Berlin are exploding, and many people don't even know they can do something about it. With the rent control, existing rent can be reduced to the permitted level, and under certain circumstances, even the previously overpaid rent can be reclaimed. By applying the rent control, you're not only helping yourself, but also contributing to actively combating rent increases in Berlin and preventing landlords from getting away with everything. There are (consolation) prizes for the most expensive rents and the worst tenancies, as well as tips and advice on how to proceed.

The example of "Jugend spricht e.V. – Migrant Youth Association Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" impressively illustrates how migrant self-organization can work as a democratic practice "from below." The association strengthens the political participation of young people with a migration background – especially in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and eastern Germany – and offers them spaces to make their interests and concerns visible and actively contribute to social processes. Such initiatives make an important contribution to living democracy and participation. Since its founding in 2019, "Jugend spricht" has developed from an initiative of young refugees into an independent youth association. The association was founded in June 2024, and in April 2025, the association became the first migrant youth association to be admitted to the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Youth Council. A company without top-down governance and operating under consensus democracy? That sounds complicated, multifaceted, but also forward-looking to many. However, a company run by consensus democracy is put to the test, especially in difficult times: an insight into the latest developments within the premium collective. Besides that: a festival without beer? That would be a catastrophe on many levels, so Fusion's beverage logistics must function reliably. There are many fixed frameworks: vehicles, dimensions and weight of the load, delivery dates, safety regulations, prices, traffic rules, driving times, environmental risks, contracts, and so on. One might think that the scope for optimizing the ecological footprint or for more humane collaboration in line with the standards of a left-wing alternative festival is limited. But a small crew of volunteers has been proving the opposite for years, and it all works without a boss and with joint, consensus-democratic decisions. And yes, in both cases described, consensus democracy means that a veto by one person could block a decision...

What to do when deadly police violence happens right next door? After Mouhamed Dramé was killed by Dortmund police in August 2022 with five bullets from a submachine gun, protests formed, from which the solidarity group Justice4Mouhamed emerged. Since then, questions of remembrance, coming to terms with the past, and justice have been at the forefront of our work. Together with the Dramé family, we have been fighting on the streets and in the courtroom to ensure that Mouhamed is not forgotten. All police officers were acquitted in the trial; we are currently awaiting the start of the appeal at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe. We are questioning racist and ableist narratives from the police, courts, and the press that contributed to Mouhamed's death and the lack of processing and accountability. In our talk, we want to give you an insight into our work of the past three years and take a critical look at police structures. ACAT.

We want to take up this critical stance and discuss it together. Questions will be raised about the individually experienced but socially mediated needs for distraction, diversion and consumption in leisure time and their social function. We will also reflect on the state of boredom and the possibility of overcoming it, because, as Adorno claims, “people are able to decide about themselves and their lives; if they were not locked into the same old thing, they would not have to be bored”. In our interactive workshop, we invite you to sharpen your decolonial perspective on the climate justice movement – and to consider resistance as a central component of this struggle. Is climate justice even possible without resistance? Which forms of resistance are considered legitimate? Who decides? We will examine international resistance struggles in Palestine, Mexico, Congo, and Serbia and discuss how these experiences can help us address the challenges of the climate crisis. We will question the limitations of the predominantly white and academic bubble of the German climate movement and incorporate our migrant perspectives. Our approach is anti-colonial, feminist, anti-racist, and queer. Together, we will discuss why resistance is not only necessary but can also be a means of self-determination. We believe that real change is only possible through honest and inclusive discussion. Join us in conversation, question narratives, and let's consider together: What role does resistance play in the climate movement – and in our own actions?

In this workshop, we will explore the "Autonomous Self-Administration of North and East Syria," established in 2012, and also consider recent developments in the region. We will draw on our own experiences as well as the voices of local people to explore both the successes and ongoing challenges of this project in a critical and solidarity-based dialogue. The people of Rojava strive to build a society beyond state, nation, and capital—based on the principles of grassroots democracy, gender liberation, and ecological sustainability. Despite ongoing political tensions, military interventions, and economic pressure, the local population is striving to consolidate and further develop the progress they have made. It becomes clear again and again that the Rojava experiment is not only an internal but also a geopolitical process that provides important impetus for left-wing movements worldwide. In this workshop, we would therefore like to discuss the following questions together: What real opportunities does the self-administration model in Rojava offer for realizing a better society? What threats and challenges does the region currently face? And what forms of solidarity exist? In this workshop, we will present the two projects "Solardarity. New Energy for Rojava" and "WJAS. Foundation of Free Women in Syria."

What does consent actually mean in interpersonal encounters? How can we show our interest without exerting pressure? In this workshop, we’ll talk about mutual consent, respectful communication, and nonverbal signals. With input from the books “Only Yes Means Yes – A Guide to Sexual Consent” and “Sex, But Properly,” we’ll reflect on how consent can be actively shaped. After a short introduction, there will be time to share experiences, insecurities, and desires. How can we find out if our counterpart is interested? And how do we create a flirting culture that’s enjoyable for everyone? Together, we’ll explore ways to engage in mindful, playful, and respectful interaction.

Henrique, a zoologist, lives and works in his own farm and started as an downtempo dj (DJ Henriq) in 2001 and producer in 2003.
